Old Fashion Milk Paint. The top area is done in
Safecoat's Zero VOC flat black with everything sanded down to an ultra-smooth finish. Finally, new hardware was mounted onto it in order to add a little extra bling to the piece. Tempered 1/2 inch glass can be added to the top for an additional price.

What else can I tell you about the delightful and wonderful Monsieur Cinq that you won't be able to see for yourself? At first sight, he wasn't much to behold, but men of distinction and character are known to clean up fairly well (and easily) aren't they? So we took a chance on him and brought him into the new millenia with a new top hat in tow and an even bigger smile on his face. Sacré bleu indeed.
Our client was looking for something fun and different for their entryway, so we found and reclaimed this cool little letter desk and customized it to fit their existing decor. The exterior is painted with layers of antiqued gloss red with a graphic sans serif "M" on the door. Interior is painted a gloss black with a chalkboard black area on the door's interior. Newly replaced iron handles and hooks were added while the original brass hinges were kept on.
When we stumbled upon this little piece, it was but a mere wallflower looking sad and somber in a dark and dank corner of a local thrift store. Ahh, but that was then... Nowadays, if this media console could come to life, we can assure you that it'd be acting out the part of Sandy in "Grease" where she shows up to the fair with her shiny new black hotpants look, struttin' her stuff like nobody's business.
